I just lost my kid brother. Not only was he younger, but he reminded me of a big kid.
Jim was a family man. He was at his happiest when he was surrounded by his family - even during those inevitable tough times that life has a way of throwing at you. His devotion to his family was the foundation of his actions - the anchor that defined and shaped his life.
I still have a plaque that Jim made for me many years ago. It says: ANGELA KIELAR, WORLDS’ GREATEST FITNESS TRAINER. It was really a sweet gesture, and so nice of him to think of me in such a proud way.
As you know, Jim was mentally disabled. Because of that, he really never quite recovered from both of my parents deaths, both which occurred in the last 5 years. Jim lived with my parents all of his life, and when my mom died in 2013, his heart was broken. When my dad passed in 2016, his heart was irreparably torn. Every conversation I had with Jim he mentioned my parents, and how much he missed them.
Jim loved cars, and was quite handy. I thought it was really sweet when Jim offered to help my mother in law with her car, and he did not want to accept any payment for that.
Jim did not marry, and he did not have any children. When we called him, we always asked about how his car was doing, and we chuckled at how excited he was to report the car’s excellent condition. He really took great care of his vehicle.
We did not know that Jim’s diabetes was so out of control. He really did not complain. During late summer, Jim stopped by and helped us with some outdoor work. He liked to help out wherever he could. He would say “All you need is a few dollars”—just like my dad would say. We always paid him for his help because he was on disability, and there was always more month left than money.
Jim had been hospitalized in mid-summer of this year in order to get his diabetes under control. He looked troubled to me, the last time I saw him, and now I know, he was sicker than we thought, since he passed but a few months after this visit.
Jim, my kid brother, it is very hard to say goodbye--- so we will just say so-long. The pages of your book will never be closed, just as the pages of Mom and Dad's books are not closed either.
Jim’s last words to me were: I love you!
Losing a loved one makes you think about using the present time to say to friends and family instead of regretting the things you DID NOT say while your loved one was alive: LIKE:
“I love you”, “I’m sorry”, “I forgive you” and “I care”.
Jim, we will miss you, but we will always remember you with love!

What is breathing and why is it important?
Every cell in your body inhales the oxygen and exhales the carbon dioxide – a process called respiration. Breathing is important because our cells constantly need a new supply of oxygen so they can produce energy – without this vital oxygen, cellular function is impaired, and damage or cell death is possible.
For optimal health, breathing should be full and rhythmic using the diaphragm and ribs to fill and empty the lungs. Proper breathing is governed primarily by the movement of the diaphragm. As it descends, the abdomen expands drawing fresh air in through the nose and into the lungs. Deep abdominal breathing promotes a full exchange of air, keeping the oxygen/carbon dioxide ratio balanced. Proper breathing can tone up your entire system and enhance health and vitality.
The inhalation and exhalation with each breath you take establishes a constant flow of energy and release within you. The inhalation brings continuous energy into your body. The exhalation heals and relaxes you. Emphasis placed on inhalation will generally create a stimulating or energizing effect on the system; while emphasis on exhalation will bring about a more passive or relaxed state.
Elizabeth Barrett Browning puts the importance of breathing into perspective well with this quote: "He lives most life whoever breathes most air."

The Life Of MARION KIELAR: A Eulogy From His Loving Daughter
Thanks for coming to share this tribute to my father’s life. Dad is rejoicing with us from his new home at 777 Kielar Lane in Heaven.
There are so many reasons that I loved and admired my dad.
First and foremost: It was important to my dad that we grow up in a Catholic Christian home.
While my dad lived with my husband Dave and I, we started every day off with prayer. I loved spending time with my dad because he was so happy to be alive.
He was grateful for every day God gave him, and he was very appreciative of everything we did to help him.
He was humble. From his early days in Poland, Dad was poor and told stories of catching rabbits to eat from the farm.
Dad never bought brand new cars. He could fix anything and was always out working on one of those old clunkers..... or the Refrigerator, plumbing etc.
My dad taught me to drive, and to drive defensively. He co -signed a loan for me so that I could buy a brand new car at age 17.
I loved that my dad put family first. Upon discharge from the marines Dad married Mom and then they had me!
Dad and Mom had more battles to face together than most, and even in the darkest days they stayed with each other: 56 years until Mom passed in 2013. Dad's words of wisdom: TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER. It comforts me to think that they are now together with each other and others who have passed before them. My dad lost his mom when I was just 2 years old. That must have been really hard for him.
I remember vacations in St Helen (up north) in the summer --- piling into the old station wagon and driving up there for a week or so to stay at my grandfather's cottage.
My dad valued education and sent us to parochial schools. I know he was so proud when I graduated college and started a business. He loved to give me business advice and to be supportive.
I couldn't have asked for a better dad. He was supportive, hard working, charismatic and very handsome. He would love me saying that because it was important to him to look nice.
I admired my dad's love and appreciation of music. In my dad's world: After God and family came music. He played the harmonica and brought smiles to so many faces for over 80 years!
Dad liked to shop – or maybe he just enjoyed spending time with me while I shopped. In any case, he had really good taste, and I will remember him every time I see one of the items we shopped together for.
I loved my dad's sense of humor and his ready smile. That smile lit up the room and lifted many spirits, including mine~
My dad was an inspiration. He was a go with the flow type of person despite infirmity. He called everyone, male and female…..BABY AND MAMA- mainly because he had a hard time remembering people's names. Even mine, sometimes.
My dad was really fun to be around. He was always making us laugh!
My dad loved to eat. He loved to bowl.. He was proud to be a member of the Knights of Columbus.
My dad loved to plant trees. I have memories of several trips to pick out trees with my dad and then planting them together.
My dad was a great dad and an amazing person. I am such a proud daughter. A legacy isn't only about leaving what you earned but also what you learned. My dad taught me to be a mensch.
A mensch is a person who is decent and honorable, a person of high integrity who has genuine caring for his fellow man. A mensch always looks for an opportunity to do good in life, to be of help to others and to give without regard for anything in return. A mensch doesn't cut corners in their relationships with people. You always feel safe in the presence of a mensch because you instinctively know that they will not deceive you, undermine you or diminish you in any way. Thanks Dad, and this is not goodbye but until we meet again.

Myth 1: Yoga is a religion

Myth 2: Yoga practice means you need to put your body into pretzel like positions. Most people only think of asanas when you say yoga . Many people have chosen to represent yoga with only the physical aspect. In the yogic system, there is very little significance given to asanas. For a little over two hundred Yoga Sutras, only one sutra is dedicated to asanas.
With yoga practice, we want human beings to start their journey with the body but move towards their inner nature.
The yogic system is a subtle manipulation of your system to allow it to rise to a different level. Yoga means that which allows you to attain to your higher nature. Every asana, every mudra, every way of breathing – everything – is focused towards this.
Myth 3: Yoga is great exercise
Yoga is not just exercise, because it has other dimensions attached to it.
If hatha yoga is taught in a proper atmosphere, it is a fantastic process of shaping your system into a fabulous device to receive the Divine.
Myth 4: Yoga should be done in front of a mirror and with music
If you want to get the involvement of that which is the source of creation within you, your body, your mind, your energy must be absolutely involved. You should approach it with a certain reverence and certain focus.
Myth 5: Need a yoga study guide? You can learn yoga from a book.
Many people have caused immense damage to themselves by learning yoga through books. It seems to be very simple, but when you do it, you will see it is a very subtle aspect. This has to be done with perfect understanding and proper guidance. Without this, one can get into deep trouble. A book can inspire you, but it is not meant to teach a practice.
Myth 6: Yoga is something you practice every day
One must become yoga. If it’s morning-evening yoga, the rest of the time entanglement – this is not yoga, this is only yoga practice.
There is no aspect of life which is excluded from the yogic process. If your life becomes yoga, then you can do everything.

The FIRST key to listening to your body is being able to detect when you are getting hungry. If
you are indeed truly hungry, and not just looking for food to cure your boredom, stress, or loneliness,
then it is time to refuel.
The SECOND key is being able to know when you have had enough. Listen to your body. When
you begin to feel full, you will know that you have had enough to eat. The goal is to feel content--not
uncomfortably stuffed but not starving either. For some people this means planning 5 or 6 smaller,
well-balanced meals a day instead of 3 large meals. And remember, it takes about 20 minutes for
your body to realize it’s full. Also, be aware of what you are eating—eat sitting down, chew
slowly, enjoy the tastes, smells, and textures of your food.
The THIRD key is moderation, nothing to extremes. Often people hear this advice and think it
means they can eat whatever they crave, all the time. Obviously we cannot survive on potato chips or
peanut butter cookies alone. And if you tried, chances are you’d probably start to crave some pasta or
fresh fruit after awhile. These cravings are your body’s way of helping you get the nutrients it knows
you need.
Eat what you want, when you are truly hungry. Stop when you’re full.
And eat exactly what appeals to you. Do this instead of any diet, and you’re likely to
maintain a healthy weight and avoid eating disorders.
